Accounts Payable Assistant - 6 Month FTC Location: Chiswick, W4 3NN Salary: £30,000 FTE We have a new opportunity for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team on a 6-month contract, covering maternity leave.
The accounts payable team is responsible for all aspects of pub and hotel invoice processing and along with staff expenses.
This role will be supporting the AP Supervisor with ensuring AP month-end timetable is delivered so that the ledgers are closed and statement reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities: ·       Processing supplier invoices – manual coding & PO matching ·       Production of supplier payment runs ·       Respond in a professional and timely manner to the needs of both the business and its suppliers ·       Process staff expenses ·       Manage and respond in a timely manner to queries from the business ·       Complete supplier statement reconciliations - monthly ·       Ensure that AP policies and processes are adhered to across the business ·       Ad Hoc duties       Skills and Behaviours Proven track record in a similar role Understanding of basic accounting – double entry, general ledgers and sub ledgers Attention to detail, accurate and methodical An ability to communicate and work effectively with non-finance staff Problem solving skills with the ability to investigate issues Ability to manage your time and meet deadlines Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality Team Player     Qualifications/Experience Education to "A "Level standard preferred Accuracy with data entry Excellent customer service skills Ability to communicate complex financial information in simple format Proficiency working with spreadsheets using Excel Proactive approach to work
